Since its foundation, Virgen de La Estrella-Maimona has been known for the production of virgin olive oils of excellent quality and care for the environment; with more than 2,000 local farmers involved, it has been a pioneer in the use of innovative production techniques to improve the quality and sustainability of our products. The mild climate with little rain and the richly diverse vegetation give diverse tastes and "textures" to our delicious olive oil.

About Sociedad Cooperativa Virgen de La Estrella

Virgen de La Estrella was founded in 1963 by a few local farmers from Los Santos de Maimona, located in a privileged location in Extremadura, southwest Spain. Nowadays, there are more than 2,000 local farmers and 7,000 hectares involved. Since its foundation, Virgen de La Estrella has been known for the production of extra virgin olive oils of excellent quality and care for the environment.

Our selection

This EVOO is crafted exclusively from ecologically farmed Morisca olives. All grown at a family- owned olive farm and processed in our own cooperative. It is a monovarietal EVOO, not a blend. So it has its true identity coming from the Morisca olives which are only found in the Extremadura region of Spain.  This is a vibrant emerald-green oil that combines a delicate fruity flavor with a fresh, peppery finish.

The Textura ECO is the perfect EVOOas a dipping oil for crusty breads or blending into salad dressings, this flavorful oil also adds a delicious finishing touch to soups, grilled meats and vegetables.
